Primary Eligibility Requirements

  • Child must be between 3-18 years of age
  • Resident of Uganda (citizen or registered refugee)
  • Currently enrolled or seeking enrollment in school
  • From a vulnerable household (verified through assessment)
  • Not receiving full sponsorship from another organization
  • Guardian/parent consent provided

Vulnerability Assessment

All applications undergo a comprehensive vulnerability assessment using internationally recognized standards including PEPFAR OVC guidelines, World Bank Proxy Means Testing (PMT), UNICEF child protection standards, and Uganda's National OVC Policy. A minimum vulnerability score is required for acceptance into the program.
